On Monday, October 20, the Czech Battery Association visited the Department of Battery–Smart Factory at Korea University to hold a meeting aimed at discussing opportunities for mutual cooperation.

The Czech Battery Association, which traveled to Korea to strengthen collaboration between Korea and the Czech Republic in the battery sector, explained that it is actively exploring possibilities for technological development and investment partnerships with universities, companies, and research institutes across Korea, including Korea University.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Jan Vejbor and Mr. Tomas Kazda from the Czech Battery Association; Mr. Seonghwan Park, Director at the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT); and Mr. Jakub Kopecký, Secretary at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Korea. From Korea University, Professor Joonho Lee (Chair Professor of the Department of Battery–Smart Factory), Research Professor Euneui Lee, and Professors Yong-Joo Kim, Seho Kim, and Hyukjun Park from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering also participated.

During the meeting, participants discussed potential collaboration frameworks between the Department of Battery–Smart Factory at Korea University and the Czech Battery Association, including joint research initiatives. The meeting concluded with a shared hope for continued and expanded cooperation between Korea and the Czech Republic in the battery field.
